Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation Attends 2nd Annual European Pro Bono Forum in Budapest
Dave Roll, Managing Director of the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, attended the 2nd Annual European Pro Bono Forum that was held November 5-7, 2008, in Budapest, Hungary. The central focus of the 2008 Forum was to forge long-lasting partnerships between NGOs and law firms, leveraging resources for the private legal sector as well as for the good of all of society.
Also in attendance were Stefan Jacyno, Managing Partner of Wardyński & Partners, Lex Mundi's member firm for Poland, and Iván Janitsáry with Nagy és Trócsányi, Lex Mundi’s member firm for Hungary. At the Forum, Stefan Jacyno spoke on a panel about the pro bono work of his firm and the future of pro bono legal representation in Eastern Europe.
Organized by the Public Interest Law Institute (PILI), the European Pro Bono Forum is a major international conference regarding the pro bono legal practice. The Forum’s attendees include lawyers, NGO staff and academics, who are brought together by their common commitment to ensuring greater legal assistance to those who need it most.
