Foundation Attends Gathering of Leaders

On February 24-27, 2009, Chloe Holderness, Managing Director of the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, was an active participant at the 5th Annual Gathering of Leaders Conference, which was hosted by New Profit, Inc. and the Knight Foundation.

The Gathering of Leaders Conference is designed to build and strengthen community among social entrepreneurs and change leaders from across the different sectors and reaffirms the power of the network’s collective energy and resources.

At the 2009 meeting, leaders of the social entrepreneurship movement came together to discuss the success of the group to date in getting social innovation and entrepreneurship on the national agenda… particularly the success of the non-partisan America Forward coalition, which has advanced legislation in Congress and encouraged the creation of a White House Office of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship.  The Gathering also focused on how to take advantage of the growing momentum and excitement around the power of social entrepreneurship.
