Foundation Returns to the Skoll World Forum

The 2009 Skoll World Forum was held March 25-27 at the Saïd Business School in Oxford and was the largest and best forum to date.  Dave Roll, Associate Director of the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, was on hand once again to network with client/social entrepreneurs, partners and other foundations.

Over 700 social entrepreneurs from around the world attended this conference.  Among the many organizations that Dave Roll made connections with was EcoPeace – Friends of the Middle East, an organization that won the prestigious Skoll Award.  EcoPeace, the Middle East chapter of Friends of the Earth International, is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists with the primary objective to promote cooperative efforts to protect shared environmental heritage. 

EcoPeace approached Dave Roll about some legal issues and Dave was able to arrange for pro bono legal assistance to be provided by S. Horowitz & Co., Lex Mundi’s member firm for Israel, and Steptoe & Johnson LLP, Lex Mundi’s member firm for the District of Columbia.
