SOCAP09 Trumpets Rapid Expansion of Social Capital Markets

To stay abreast of the rapid growth of social capital markets and to network with social entrepreneurs, collaborators and funders, Dave Roll attended the SOCAP09 Conference in San Francisco, September 1-3, 2009. Sonal Shah, director of the White House Office of Social Innovation, gave the keynote address, outlining plans to accelerate the impact of nonprofit and for-profit social enterprise. Dave was an active participant in a discussion focusing on new corporate structures for social entrepreneurs, including the new stakeholder legislation to be introduced in California and other hybrid legal structures to accommodate social entrepreneurs.
