Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation Attends 2008 Fast Company Social Capitalist Awards
On January 8, 2008, Chloe Holderness, Deputy Managing Director of the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, attended the 2008 Fast Company Magazine Social Capitalist Awards in Washington, D.C. For the last five years Fast Company Magazine, together with its partner the Monitor Group, has identified, evaluated, and celebrated high impact social enterprise organizations. The day-long Symposium and Awards Ceremony was attended by some of the leading social entrepreneurs and leading organizations who, like the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, are working to support social entrepreneurs around the world.
This year 45 nonprofit organizations were awarded a prestigious Social Capitalist Award. In addition, 10 for-profit organizations were recognized for the first time for their work in social responsibility (“Profits with Purpose”).
It is also important to mention that the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation has supported and assisted a number of the winning nonprofit organizations that were recognized at the event.
