Foundation Attends Gathering of Leaders and is Introduced to America Forward

On February 27-29, 2008, Dave Roll, Managing Director of the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation, was an active participant in the Gathering of Leaders Conference, which was hosted by the Knight Foundation.

The Gathering of Leaders is a conference designed by and for social entrepreneurs.  It builds and strengthens community among social entrepreneurs and change leaders from across the different sectors and reaffirms the power of the network’s collective energy and resources.

At the 2008 meeting, leaders of the social entrepreneurship movement came together to discuss both the use of collaborative networks to accelerate change and the non-partisan initiative, called America Forward, which is working to place social entrepreneurship on the agendas of the U.S. Presidential candidates and Congress.

Since that time, the Foundation has been conferring with the Executive Director of America Forward to explore ways of assisting the coalition in accomplishing its mission of enacting government incentives and cooperation to spur the growth of social entrepreneurs.
