About the Organization: Fit to Navigate provides wellness education to cultivate well-being for women in and out of the prison system while creating a path to entrepreneurship, sustainable wages, and reduced recidivism for all low-income communities in Ohio. The Fit to Navigate team works with the body and mind using mindful movement, meditation, and relationship-building via collaborative dialogue, and provides trainings for participants to become nationally certified to teach in their communities both inside and outside of prison.
Legal Entity Type: For-profit
SDG(s): Decent Work and Economic Growth, Good Health and Well Being, Partnerships to achieve the Goals, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
Legal Issue(s):

Prior to establishing Fit to Navigate in 2018, the organization’s co-founder had already established a separate personal training business called Personal Fitness Navigators. Fit to Navigate is an LLC, and Personal Fitness Navigators is an S Corp. They are not legally linked, but their programming is closely related. By way of example, Fit to Navigate courses are taught in Personal Fitness Navigators’ brick and mortar studio. They are now seeking a strategy consultation to discuss how best to move forward with these two entities. The Fit to Navigate team would appreciate guidance on whether it makes sense to keep them separate, or if might be beneficial to combine them in some way.
