Trademark Clearance Search/Analysis

Advise a community health social enterprise on whether they are able to trademark their name, logo, and a tagline.

Referred by:

Jurisdiction(s): US
About the Organization: OmniVis makes handheld devices to rapidly detect dangerous pathogens and promote community health worldwide.
Legal Entity Type: For-profit
SDG(s): Good Health and Well Being
Legal Issue(s):

Omnivis is seeking a consultation/assistance determining whether they can trademark their name, logo and a tagline – as well as guidance on next steps for registration. Another company has trademarked “OmniVis” for an unrelated offering and there are some similarities between OmniVis’ logo and that of another organization. The OmniVis team would like guidance on whether either will prevent (or is likely to prevent) them from successfully registering their trademarks. If possible, they would also appreciate assistance registering the trademarks – but this is a secondary request.
