Review Data Collection Practices/Draft Data Policy
Assist a nonprofit improving access to humanitarian aid by reviewing their data collection practices and drafting a data policy.

The Disaster Accountability Project (“DAP”) SmartResponse platform is working to advance localization in the humanitarian sector by curating localized “how to help” lists to help donors, and all stakeholders, more easily identify, engage, and directly support local NGOs and last-mile organizations around the world. When a local NGO joins the platform, all of the information they provide in their profile is made public. Additionally, DAP is considering moving to a revenue generating subscription model, through which donors will be able to access the data and will also pay for additional services provided through SmartResponse. The DAP team is now seeking assistance from an attorney to review their data collection and management practices, to ensure they comply with applicable law. They are also seeking assistance drafting a Data Policy, to reflect their practices and to inform SmartResponse platform users of how their data is used.
