They have conducted a review on the operational side and are now seeking a consultation with a tax-exempt attorney. The CHIC team would like to discuss: (i) what steps they need to take to establish an independent nonprofit; (ii) major considerations they should take into account; and (iii) whether it makes sense for their organization at this time. Should they move forward, they would also appreciate assistance incorporating and filing for 501(c)(3) status. However, this is a secondary request.
